This represents the total number of jobs provided by employers located in Pitt County and includes both residents of Pitt County as well as residents of adjoining counties (and other places) who commute to work in Pitt County. For purposes of providing Civilian Labor Force Estimates, manufacturing and non-manufacturing employment is converted from “place of work” to “place of residence” to reflect actual employment and unemployment levels in Pitt County.
