Pitt Community College

PCC was established in 1961. In terms of curriculum programs, it is the 7th largest of the fifty-eight (58) schools in the state’s community college system. PCC offers 45 associate degree programs, 69 certificate programs, 27 diploma programs, and 11 college transfer programs. More than 25 of these programs can be taken entirely over the internet. School enrollment for 2009-10 was 11,069 curriculum students and 10,302 continuing education students.

Pitt Community College is an active participant in Pitt County’s continuum of education. The college works closely with Pitt County Schools and East Carolina University to improve the articulation of education in the county. PCC works with Pitt County Schools to offer one of the largest Career Tech programs in the state. Career Tech is a curriculum guide which prepares students for technical careers.
