The availability of a well-trained workforce is a critical consideration in a company’s decision to locate, expand or remain in North Carolina.  The State pioneered no cost, customized training for manufacturers and businesses in 1958 and continues to provide the nation’s most recognized customized training service.

The NC Community College System works with economic and workforce development partners to assist a company through the initial recruitment, personalized screening, and customized training processes.  The greatest asset that North Carolina Community Colleges have is flexibility.  In a rapidly changing global economy in which innovation means the difference between business success and failure, the skills required of employees evolve more rapidly than ever before.  In North Carolina, customized training creates success by quickly responding to industry’s changing skills needs.

NCWorks Customized Training provides education, training and support services for new, expanding and existing business and industry in North Carolina.  The goal is to foster and support three key aspects of a company’s well-being:  Job Growth, Technology Investment, and Productivity Enhancement.  All solutions are the result of collaboration with the management team and customizing the training to meet specific objectives adding to business success.
