Local phone service in Pitt County and all its incorporated municipalities is provided by CenturyLink, an integrated communications company providing total access solutions to its residential and business customers. Service Features: International direct distance dialing;  Toll-free services;  Data transmission;  Video Transmission; Enhanced call waiting;  Call forwarding;  Three-way calling; Return call;  Repeat dialing; Call trace; Caller ID with name; Call waiting ID; Caller ID blocking; Anonymous call rejection; Voice mail; Telecommunications relay service; Video relay interpreting.

Business and industrial customers can be provided with direct connectivity to fiber as their communications requirements dictate.

Extended Area Service and Expanded Local Calling Service: CenturyLink provides local service between all communities in Pitt County, eliminating long distance toll charges to all areas within the county.

Securing Service: Residential service can be secured by calling (252) 355-9111. Business service can typically be provided within 5 days assuming the customer already has their equipment and that facilities exist within the area. For business service call 1-800-786-6272.

Temporary service: If a rural site is selected, or if underground service is preferred, CenturyLink can usually provide temporary service to the construction site in less than 10 days.
